How do I charge Zegbot?
Charge with the included USB-C cable. The charging light shows status while it tops up, and a full charge gives a full day of listening. If nothing lights up, try a different USB power source and let it charge for 30 minutes.
How do I connect Zegbot to Wi-Fi?
In the Parent App, go to Set Up Device → Wi-Fi, choose your 2.4GHz network, and enter the password. Zegbot supports 2.4GHz only — it gives longer range and a more stable connection for low-power kids' devices, so pick your 2.4GHz band rather than 5GHz (many routers list them as separate network names). Wi-Fi powers AI conversation and app-connected features; all built-in stories and music play offline without it.
How do I bind Zegbot to my parent account?
During app setup, enter the binding code shown in the app (or on the device) to link Zegbot to your parent account. This keeps AI, privacy, and usage controls tied to you.
What do Rabbit, Bear, and Astronaut do?
Each buddy is a mode you unlock by placing it on the top magnetic port: Rabbit is AI learning and Q&A, Bear is stories, music, and sleep, and Astronaut is Spanish, creativity, and parent-child play.
How do I turn AI off?
In the Parent App you can disable AI conversation entirely. With AI off, Zegbot still plays all 150 built-in stories, songs, and sounds, and Sleep Mode keeps working.
Can Zegbot be used without Wi-Fi?
Yes. All 90 stories, 60 songs and sounds, Sleep Mode, and the night light work fully offline. Only AI conversation needs a Wi-Fi connection.
How do I use Sleep Mode?
Add the Bear buddy or open Sleep Mode in the app to play soothing music and natural sounds, turn on the warm night light, and set a timer that gently fades the audio out as your child drifts off.
How does voice search work?
Ask by title, story code, or theme — for example "play a bedtime story" or a specific story name — and Zegbot finds it in the built-in library.
What does the red light mean?
Red means the microphone is off and its power is physically cut off — Zegbot cannot listen. This is hardware mic power isolation, not just a software mute.
How do I delete voice history?
Open the Parent App → Privacy → Voice History to review and delete conversation records at any time. The optional voiceprint can also be deleted from the same screen.
What happens after the 3-year AI period?
All built-in stories, music, Sleep Mode, and offline features keep working forever — they're stored on the device. AI conversation can be continued through a renewal option after the included 3 years.
Why won't Zegbot play stories or music?
Check the volume and battery, make sure a buddy is seated on the magnetic port, and restart the device. Built-in content doesn't need Wi-Fi, so a network issue won't stop stories or music.
Zegbot won't turn on or charge — what should I do?
Charge for 30 minutes with the included USB-C cable, then long-press the yellow button for 3 seconds. If the charging light doesn't appear, try another USB power adapter or cable. Still stuck? Contact support and we'll help.
The app can't find my device
Make sure Zegbot is powered on and nearby, enable Bluetooth on your phone, and keep the app open on the Set Up Device screen. Restart the device and re-pair if it doesn't appear within a minute.
How do I start a warranty claim?
Email support@zegbot.com with your order number, device serial number, and a short description (photos help). Please reach out before starting a return — in many cases we can replace parts or troubleshoot first.
What's covered by the warranty?
Zegbot includes a 12-month limited warranty from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Missing or damaged items in the box are replaced — contact support with your order details.
